Crossed offers & Match
Peerkets never matches offers automatically. So it can happen that someone is buying above what someone else is selling for — for example a buyer at 60¢ while a seller asks 50¢. The book's middle line then says Crossed.
When that happens, a Match card appears under the book. Anyone can settle both offers in one transaction:
- buy the shares from the seller at their price (50¢), and
- sell those same shares to the buyer at their price (60¢),
keeping the difference. Both makers trade at exactly the price they asked for.
You need enough pUSD to pay the seller first — you get it back in the same transaction, plus the difference. You can't match against your own offer.
